FAQ's
Answers to some of your most common questions about massage:

1. How can massage benefit me?
Massage supports your body and mind by releasing tension, improving circulation, easing pain, reducing stress, and promoting overall relaxation. It can also enhance body awareness and help reset your nervous system.
2. How often should I get a massage?
The frequency depends on your goals and lifestyle. Many clients find every 2–4 weeks helpful for maintaining physical and emotional balance, but we can personalize a plan that fits your needs.
3. When is it not okay to get a massage?
Massage may not be recommended if you have certain acute injuries, infections, fever, or specific medical conditions. Always let your practitioner know about your health history so we can safely tailor your session.
4. What should I expect during my first massage session?
Your first session begins with a brief consultation to understand your needs and goals. We’ll discuss pressure preferences, areas of concern, and any health considerations before your session begins.
5. Do I need to undress completely?
You only need to undress to your comfort level. Proper draping ensures privacy and warmth throughout the session. We focus on your comfort while giving access to the areas that need care.
6. Will the massage be painful?
Massage should feel therapeutic, not overwhelming. Some areas may feel tender, especially where tension has built up, but you are always in control - communication lines are always open and pressure can be adjusted at any time.
7. How will I know what type of massage or session is right for me?
We tailor every session to your unique body, goals, and lifestyle. During your consultation, we’ll recommend techniques and session length that best support your physical, emotional, and holistic wellness.
8. What should I do after my massage to get the most benefit?
Drink plenty of water, move gently, and give yourself time to rest if possible. Light stretching and mindful breathing can help prolong the benefits of your session.
9. Can massage help with stress, anxiety, or emotional tension?
Absolutely. Massage can calm the nervous system, release stored tension, and improve emotional wellbeing. Many clients report feeling lighter, more grounded, and emotionally balanced after sessions.
10. What if I have an injury, medical condition, or am pregnant?
We can adapt sessions to accommodate injuries, chronic conditions, or pregnancy. Please share your health history and current concerns during booking so we can provide a safe, effective session tailored to you.
11. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Appointments may be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Same-day cancellations or missed appointments may result in forfeiture of the session fee.

12. How long are sessions?
Session lengths vary depending on the service you choose. Our most common offerings include 60-minute and 90-minute sessions. Multi-modal packages may combine sessions for a longer, integrated experience.

13. Can I combine massage with other sessions in a single day?
Yes! Multi-session or package days can be arranged to include massage, somatic coaching, nutrition guidance, or holistic wellness sessions. We recommend spacing sessions to maximize benefit and allow your body time to integrate the work.

14. Do you accept insurance or HSA/FSA payments?
We do not bill insurance directly, but many clients can submit receipts to their HSA/FSA for reimbursement. Please check with your provider for eligibility.

15. What should I wear?
Wear whatever is comfortable. For massage sessions, loose or minimal clothing is easiest for draping and access, but you remain covered and comfortable throughout. For multi-modal sessions, comfortable, flexible clothing is recommended.

16. Are gift cards available?
Yes! Gift cards can be purchased online or in person and are valid for one year from the date of purchase. They may be applied toward any service or package and make a thoughtful gift for someone you care about.

17. Do you offer couples, partner, or group sessions?
Yes! We offer select workshops and partner sessions designed to deepen connection, trust, and body awareness. These sessions are appropriate for couples, friends, or family members interested in shared healing experiences.

18. What makes your approach different from other massage therapists?
Our sessions go beyond relaxation—they integrate somatic awareness, holistic wellness guidance, and nervous system support. Each session is tailored to your unique physical, emotional, and energetic needs, helping you release tension, improve alignment, and restore balance.

19. How do I prepare for my session?
Arrive a few minutes early, wear comfortable clothing, and hydrate beforehand. Avoid heavy meals immediately before your session. Coming with an open mind and gentle awareness will help you get the most from your experience.

20. How will I feel after a session?
Many clients report feeling relaxed, grounded, and lighter in their bodies. Some may feel mild soreness or increased awareness of tension, which is normal and usually resolves within 24–48 hours. Drinking water and resting as needed supports integration.
